These are the essentials that your scout needs to have for all campouts

- Sleeping bag, weather appropriate
- Mess kit (a plastic plate works fine along with a multi-use fork/spoon/knife)
- Water bottle or canteen
- Small flash light or headlamp (with extra battery)
- Hat
- Rain gear (poncho is fine)
- Light jacket or sweat shirt
- Extra pair socks/underwear
- Insect repellent
- Sunscreen
- Footlocker/camp box to carry gear(or Backpack)
- Scout Handbook
- Enthusiasm
All Scouts May Also Bring
All Scouts May Also Bring
- Pocketknife (may not carry or use until they have basic safety training - Totin' Chip)
- Pillow (inflatable saves space)
- Sleeping pad, foam or inflatable
- Backpack/day pack
- L.E.D. hat brim clip light (optional, but a good thing to have)
All personal gear should have the scout's name on it. If they will be taking it to Summer or Winter Camp, it should also have 'T233' on it.
