Scouting is a journey for both the scouts and parents. Below is a list of online resources to help scouts find the information they need to enjoy and grow as a Boy Scout and beyond.

The Boy Scouts of America Home Page contains information on the different types of units, joining scouting, how to find a unit, and how to join. For adult leaders (Scouters) the site contains the online training you'll need to help support the troop. Scouters will need to create an account on

The BSA is organized into Councils. Troop 233 is part of the Capital Area Council. Their site contain the Council calendar, in person training registration, campsite registration, and information on how Scouts can serve their community.

Troop 233 utilizes Troop Track for advancement, communications, and event planning.

Important Places

The Fickett Service Center and Conference Center is located at 12500 North IH-35 in North Austin, near Parmer Lane. It is a central hub for Scout leader training, support, and resources. It is also home to the Steve Matthews Scout Shop, the Sarah Keithley Conference Center and the Puett Eagle Wall
